Darasta maps are probably the most played maps in the average players' division at the moment. However many don't know that DaRasta was an actual player from Netherlands.
I can't remember precisely but around 2006 or 2007 a new player called Darasta entered to Kali's RA Gentlemen's Club. He was rather an old fellow aprox 35-45 years and probably because that he never became very good. However he was a really nice person, all-around good guy and a delight to know.
Back then there were no "average players' division" and all players were what you would call today "p4 pros" or just "pros" ( xD ) and that lead to the fact that DaRasta had to play with the big boys.
Noobs weren't kicked back then, they always were left to watch and learn and after that to play. In 2007 when I made my top 60 kali players rankings (was rather easy to see who better than someone else when only ~80 active players) DaRasta scored to be #53, only leaving 7 players behind. However DaRasta kept playing and smiling. After all he made it in top 60.
He also brought his girlfriend to play RA by being third RA player who played RA online during my time with girlfriend, she was called LadyRasta.
It was later in 2007 I think when he made his own DaRasta map clearly inspired from map called Hjk DefMike, who also is one of the old school newbs ( xD ). I would want to see look on his face if he came back now and see that people are playing his map, because it really wasn't much played back then.
DaRasta was also one of the first (after me and some others) RA online youtube distributors. You can see his channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/RaWatcher/feed
No I don't link it because I win a lot in there :D, I post it to honor an old player and a nice guy, who didn't take game too serious and played with good sport. Long life DaRasta!
