There are couple glitches in RA and people are often asking me if they should or shouldn't use them and if using them is considered cheating.
Using glitches is not considered as cheating and you can use them if you want, they are part of the game. On below I write about the most common glitches and their attributes.
Formation exploit: This is glitch is most often used to make MCV go faster. You make mine layer and mcv, put mine layer close to MCV and make for example group 2, after that make formation so you see letter "F" when you select them. Deselect the units, select them by pressing "2" and then when you send them, MCV drives as fast as mine layer.
This glitch is probably the most used and sometimes it's useful if you want to get your mcv from point A to point B quick.
You can also use formation glitch by formating light tank and infantry or mine layer and infantry to make them go as fast as the vehicle.
Range exploit: With this glitch you can make grenade/bazooka soldiers shoot longer distance. You force fire on the ground and when the guys are about to shoot you aim somewhere further, for example to kill enemy soldiers from distance. This trick can be useful but it takes time to master and even then you have to have spare time to do it.
Force ally: Allying with enemy engineers to prevent them taking over your building. Most often used vs enemy apc. Usually I try to kill apcs (filled with engs) before they land on my base, but if I fail or if I'm too lazy I have no problem to take this glitch in use. I personally hardly ever use apcs but if I did there's a easy counter you can do if someone allies your engs.
Super tesla: I never used this trick before but nowadays I sometimes do. Mostly cuz it's fun to watch 10 tanks getting owned by one tesla and seeing people panicking or rage quitting when not knowing what to do.
To do this you make 1-5 same type of infantry and send them to the spot, then when they are close reaching the spot you place tesla there and if you succeeded now you have super tesla with 1-5 men in it. If enemy aims for tesla it takes for ever to kill it.
This can be a good trick if used well but generally it isn't that useful. It takes some time to learn and even then you sometimes fail cuz game speed always different. You also don't wan't to waste time and have the tesla ready forever before you get infantry in it, because usually this trick is used to defend the first rush so you don't have time to waste.
Also if you only got 1-3 men in it and enemy knows how to defeat super teslas you have the same destiny that cyers usually do.
Magic build: This is the #1 glitch that people tend to call cheating. Scenario: You are cying and have successfully chinhooked and conquered a building from enemy base. Now you fighting with both enemies since it's 2v2 and they about to kill you off from their base. Just before they are killing your last tesla you make one silo ready and choose a spot to put it, but you don't yet place it. Then they kill your last tesla and after they leave battlefield.. whoops you can still place that silo.
Yeah, it's gay. I don't use it. But like it or not it isn't cheating and I won't call anyone a cheater who uses it. And you shouldn't either especially if you have 15 mins before used mcv+mine layer formation trick. If you think using one glitch is ok you can't cry if someone uses some other glitch.
Like all glitches Magic Build also have a weakness: You can't make any units while you holding that building and waiting enemy back off. Especially if opponent does magic build many times during the game you end up having a lot of more units and a solid push will guarantee your win. You can also leave some units to that place if you suspect opponent to try it, also he won't wait forever to do it, so if you don't see anything in first 15 secs he prolly didn't do it :P.
The best way to prevent this is to never let him in your base in the first place.
South Advantage: This is the most useful glitch even tho it's not often thought even to be a glitch. Units and teslas/turrets/flamers etc shoot one square longer distance when they are south. So if you are pushing south with teslas and opponent is coming from north and trying to kill you off you will have an advantage. Also generally during the tank fight you should try to be south.
There's no other weakness with this glitch except if you don't do anything else than mind south you might get owned from north.
Pause and continue: Another good glitch that everyone should use is pause and continue building glitch, which is very useful if you have for example tank under production and you make new war factory. Then when you pause tank and continue building you get it with speed of the war you just made. Also works with buildings if you make new construction yard, you pause the building you deploy new cy, pause the building you are making and resume production to get building faster. Works well with airfields and migs too etc.
I probably forgot to mention bunch of glitches but later I will write about bugs.
